WILL known as W D to his friends and as Pa Willie to his grandsons was a very Gentle man,he worked for the L&N railroad till the death of Annie when this happened he then retired to a home outside Harlan till his passing in 1953.

Notes for Annie Dalton:
A very fine seamstress she sewed for it seems the whole town of LOYALL Annie was known as MAMA to her grandsons and raised them as her own when her son ROY abandoned them. I remember MAMA as a very Gentle lady [ altho I'm told she could be a terror when provoked ] I was very young when she passed away but I do remember and I think of MAMA as my very own angel who's sole purpose was to form me and protect me in my formative years THANK YOU MAMA for your love and protection we miss you.

Roy deserted his wife and three boys before his mother ANNIE died in 1943 and was last seen at her funeral his whereabouts from then on is a mystery???????????
Notes for Delora Wilson:
Delora was known all her life as Deloris
she was a very sick woman ,she had asthma so bad she was ordered by her doctors to move to Denver Colo.,because the air was so much lighter there ,she passed away in Pueblo Colo. and was brought back to Ky. she now rests in Floral hills Cemetery. just outside Covington . Altho, her marriage Cerf. says she was born in Virginia there is evidence that she was born at MARTINS FORK IN HARLAN COUNTY KY. according to her sister Myrtle and the fact the 1910 census places the family there in that year.
Her first husband and father of her three son's Roy Estes dropped out of sight and was last seen by his family at the funeral of his mother Annie in 1943 leaving a wife and three boy's to fend for themselves.
Delores married Lindsey Smith in 1944 they were married 20 years when she passed away in 1964 afterwards he moved around a lot finally settling in his old hometown of Jasper Ala. He passed away in 1984...

After the two enlistments in the Army in the early 1950's Carl worked for a brief time at the Harlan Police dept. before returning to northern kentucky . Worked in the bakery for almost thirty years and was the president of local 213 of the bakery and confectionary workers union for 19 year's before being disabled and is now retired.
